Dennis Allen Obituary, Death – A 75-year-old man from Lancaster County was killed in a car crash earlier this month, according to state police reports issued Thursday. The fatal collision occurred at approximately 7:30 a.m. on November 11 at the intersection of Kirkwood Pike and Stuart Run Road in Colerain Township. Dennis Allen, from Quarryville, was driving a 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt eastbound on Stuart Run Road when he approached a stop sign. Allen attempted to turn left onto Kirkwood Pike, but in doing so, he pulled directly into the path of a 2015 Dodge Dart driven by a man from Conestoga.
The driver of the Dodge Dart tried to avoid the collision, but the two vehicles crashed. Following the impact, Allen’s Chevrolet Cobalt came to a stop in a nearby field. Emergency responders took Allen to a hospital in Lancaster, where he was pronounced dead. The driver of the Dodge Dart sustained only minor injuries in the crash.
The incident is under investigation, and troopers are working to determine the exact cause of the collision.
