Christopher Black Obituary, Death: Investigation underway in deadly Rutland County crash.

Christopher Black Obituary, Death – Vermont State Police are investigating a fatal single-vehicle crash that occurred in Mendon on Wednesday morning. The crash took place on Wheelerville Road just after 8 a.m. and involved a Nissan Titan traveling south. According to the preliminary investigation, the vehicle veered out of its lane, left the roadway, and descended down an embankment before striking a tree.

The driver, 42-year-old Christopher Black from West Rutland, was the sole occupant of the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Vermont State Police were assisted by the Rutland Regional Ambulance Service and the Rutland City Fire Department. The investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.
