Julius Hollis Obituary, Death – Julius Hollis, a 34-year-old Rockford resident, was identified as the pedestrian in a wheelchair who was struck by a vehicle Monday night on the city’s west side. The incident occurred shortly after 9:30 p.m. on Nov. 11 at West State Street and Bayliss Avenue intersection. The vehicle involved remained at the scene following the crash.

First responders found Hollis unresponsive, and he was transported to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries. The investigation is ongoing, and a GoFundMe page has been created to support Hollis’ family.
