Williamson was critically injured and later passed away near the 13100 block of 140th Avenue Northwest. The Key Peninsula Fire Department confirmed her death in a Facebook announcement later that day.

The exact cause and manner of Williamson’s death remain undetermined. According to the Medical Examiner’s Office, a temporary designation has been assigned, indicating that further investigation, information, or test results are necessary before the death can be officially certified.

Firefighters received the alert at 10:57 a.m., responded quickly, and brought the fire under control by 11:28 a.m., according to the department’s updates on social media. The fire was fully extinguished by 12:39 p.m. However, as of Thursday, authorities continue to investigate the fire’s cause, as stated by Anne Nesbit, spokeswoman for Key Peninsula Fire, in a report to The News Tribune.
