Gerald Lomax Obituary, Death – WBRC reports that a Jackson-Olin High School football player, 17-year-old Gerald Lomax, was the victim of a fatal shooting on Tuesday night, November 12, in Woodlawn. Lomax was found shot behind Woodlawn High School, at the intersection of 54th Street and 2nd Avenue North. Jackson-Olin’s head coach, Joe Webb, indicated that Lomax’s death was likely due to mistaken identity.

He shared that Lomax had been on life support through the night but sadly passed away after being removed from the machine on Wednesday.
