James Stewart Obituary, Death – Authorities have identified James Stewart, a 77-year-old resident of La Plata, as the driver who was killed in a single-vehicle crash in Indian Head. According to the Charles County Sheriff’s Office, officers responded to a call shortly after 4:30 p.m. on November 12, following a report of a crash along the 5900 block of Bicknell Road.
Investigations indicate that Stewart was traveling down Bicknell Road when he lost control of his vehicle, which then veered off the road and collided with a telephone pole. Upon arrival, officers found Stewart deceased inside his vehicle. The circumstances surrounding the accident are still under investigation, and no further information has been released by the sheriff’s office at this time.
