Thomas King Obituary, Death: 72-Year-Old Man Killed in Akron Motorcycle Crash Identified

Thomas King Obituary, Death – The Summit County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the individual who tragically lost his life in a motorcycle crash in downtown Akron on Friday evening as 72-year-old Thomas King, a local resident.

According to authorities, the accident occurred around 6 p.m. when King, traveling south on High Street on his motorcycle, was struck by a Ford F-150 pickup truck. The truck, driven by a 25-year-old male, was heading east on Selle Street and reportedly failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection, resulting in the collision.

Following the impact, King was quickly transported to a nearby hospital for treatment of his injuries. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead shortly thereafter.

Authorities are continuing to investigate the crash, but as of now, the cause of the accident remains under examination.
