Jose Alberto Feliz Obituary, Death – Police have identified both the victim and the suspect in a fatal shooting that took place on Friday afternoon in Boston’s Hyde Park neighborhood. The victim, Jose Alberto Feliz, was a 28-year-old resident of Hyde Park, who was shot multiple times on Garfield Avenue. Tragically, Feliz died from his injuries.
The suspect, also a 28-year-old Hyde Park resident named Isaiah Trevon Smith, was arrested shortly after the incident. Smith has been charged with murder, as well as firearms offenses. He is scheduled to be arraigned in West Roxbury District Court on Tuesday.
Authorities have stated that they do not believe the shooting was a random act of violence. They reassured the public that there is no ongoing threat to the community.
