Donna Chimeno Obituary, Death – A fatal three-vehicle accident on Friday night in Lake Charles resulted in the death of Donna Chimeno, a 60-year-old resident, according to Louisiana State Police. The incident occurred around 5 p.m. at Nelson Road and Plantation Drive. Chimeno was traveling south on Nelson Road in the outside lane when, for reasons still under investigation, she moved into the left lane and collided with a Jeep driven by an off-duty Calcasieu Parish sheriff’s deputy.
Her vehicle then crossed the center line and crashed head-on into a delivery van. Although Chimeno was wearing a seatbelt, she suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. All others involved in the crash were unharmed, and authorities are continuing their investigation.
