Lawrence Chambers, Lawrence Chambers Obituary, Death – Two people tragically lost their lives in a wrong-way crash on US-460 in Lynchburg, Virginia, on Thursday night, authorities confirmed. The victims were identified as 69-year-old Lawrence William Chambers from Pamplin and 68-year-old James Jeffrey Elam from Lebanon.

According to the Lynchburg Police Department, Chambers was driving eastbound on US-460 in the westbound lanes when he collided with Elam’s vehicle near the Candler’s Mountain Road exit just before 10:30 p.m. Both drivers were the sole occupants of their respective vehicles, and no one else was involved or injured in the crash.

The police extended their condolences to the families affected by the incident and have stated that they are conducting an investigation into the events leading up to the crash.
