The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office reported that the victim, 60-year-old Gregory Paul Mallett, was hit near 401 Daniel Payne Drive around 7:16 p.m. He was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after the accident, approximately five minutes following the collision.
