Frederick Hand Obituary, Death – Police in Prince George’s County have disclosed the identity of the dump truck driver who tragically succumbed to his injuries following a crash on Monday. The victim has been identified as 76-year-old Frederick Hand, a resident of Prince Frederick.
The incident occurred on October 28 at approximately 12:30 p.m., when officers from the Prince George’s County Police Department (PGPD) were dispatched to the area of Cedarville Road and Dent Road in Brandywine in response to a reported crash. Upon their arrival, officers discovered Hand suffering from significant injuries.
Emergency responders promptly transported Hand to a local hospital for medical treatment. Unfortunately, he later died from his injuries.
Preliminary investigations conducted by the PGPD indicate that Hand was driving north on Cedarville Road when, for reasons not yet determined, his dump truck veered off the road. The vehicle subsequently collided with multiple trees. The exact circumstances surrounding the crash are still under investigation by the PGPD’s Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit.
