Keiona Wilson Obituary, Death; Nashville woman fatally shot after allegedly breaking into husband’s girlfriend’s home.

Keiona Wilson Obituary, Death – Early Monday morning, the Metro Nashville Police Department began investigating a deadly shooting that left a 42-year-old woman dead following a confrontation tied to a domestic dispute.

Authorities confirmed that the victim, identified as Keiona Wilson, died after being shot inside a residence on Scalf Drive. Investigators say the incident stemmed from tensions surrounding Wilson’s husband and his relationship with another woman, 42-year-old Keosha Greer, who lived at the home where the shooting occurred.

According to police, Wilson drove to the house after discovering her husband’s car parked behind it. Using her key, she moved the vehicle to the front of the property, a move that reportedly alerted Greer. Wilson then knocked on the front door, demanding answers about her husband’s whereabouts.

Greer did not immediately open the door but instead communicated with Wilson through the home’s surveillance system speaker. The two women exchanged heated words during the argument, primarily centered on whether Wilson’s husband was inside the house. As the confrontation escalated, police said Wilson attempted to force her way into the home.

At that moment, Greer fired a single gunshot through the storm door. That initial shot did not hit Wilson, but the situation quickly intensified. Wilson eventually managed to enter the home, where a physical fight broke out between her and Greer. During the altercation, Greer fired a second shot, striking Wilson in the abdomen.

Despite being wounded, Wilson left the home and managed to get into her husband’s car. She drove only a short distance before pulling over outside of the Metro Police Madison Precinct, where she flagged down an officer for help. Emergency responders rushed Wilson to Skyline Medical Center, but she later died from her injuries.

The case remains under investigation, and police are working closely with the District Attorney’s Office to determine whether criminal charges should be filed. For now, Greer has not been charged, as authorities said additional evidence and witness statements are being reviewed before a final decision is made.

The tragic encounter underscores how domestic disputes can escalate into deadly violence. What began as a confrontation over infidelity quickly spiraled into an argument, forced entry, and ultimately, a fatal shooting. Police have not disclosed whether Wilson’s husband was inside the home at the time of the incident.

Neighbors in the area reported hearing commotion that morning and expressed shock over the deadly outcome. Many described the neighborhood as usually quiet, making the shooting particularly unsettling for nearby residents.

Police said that ongoing interviews and forensic analysis will help determine the sequence of events and whether Greer’s actions were in self-defense or if charges will be pursued. Until then, the community awaits further clarity on the legal outcome of the case.

The Metro Nashville Police Department emphasized that the investigation remains active and encouraged anyone with additional information to come forward. For now, the fatal shooting has left one family grieving the loss of Wilson while another woman faces potential criminal liability depending on the results of the ongoing inquiry.
