The fatal collision occurred just before noon on Thursday, July 31, at the intersection of Galm Road and Shoreline Drive, close to Culebra Road. According to the San Antonio Police Department, the crash involved Garcia’s motorcycle and an SUV.

At the time of the incident, the SUV was heading south on Galm Road and was attempting to make a left turn toward Culebra Road. Meanwhile, Garcia was traveling north in the opposite direction on his motorcycle. As the SUV began turning left, Garcia’s motorcycle collided with the front of the vehicle.

The impact was severe. Police reported that Garcia was thrown from his motorcycle due to the collision. His body flew over a fence and landed in the backyard of a residence along Galm Road. Emergency responders pronounced him dead at the scene.

The SUV’s driver and a passenger were also involved in the crash but survived. Authorities said both were transported to a nearby hospital, where they were treated for minor injuries.
