Torris Kinney Obituary, Death – A tragic three-vehicle crash on Highway 8 in Bolivar County claimed the life of a Cleveland man late Wednesday night, according to the Mississippi Highway Patrol.
Authorities say the fatal collision occurred just before 10:30 p.m. on July 31. The victim has been identified as 32-year-old Torris Kinney, who was behind the wheel of a 2013 Buick Lacrosse at the time of the incident.
According to investigators, Kinney was driving eastbound on the highway when his vehicle was struck from behind by a 2018 Nissan Sentra. The impact caused Kinney’s Buick to be pushed forward into the back of a 2013 Dodge Ram, creating a chain-reaction crash.
The extent of injuries to the other drivers involved in the accident has not been released, and it is unclear at this time whether any charges will be filed in connection with the collision.
The Mississippi Highway Patrol continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
