According to police, Decker’s body was located at approximately 11:30 p.m. inside her four-door Honda. The vehicle was parked in the lot of a McDonald’s restaurant located in the 3100 block of Southwest Port St. Lucie Boulevard. She was found seated in the front passenger seat of the vehicle.

Sgt. Dominick Mesiti, speaking on July 11, said there were no immediate signs of physical trauma or evidence suggesting foul play at the scene. Authorities have not yet released a cause of death, as an autopsy is underway to determine how Decker died.

The investigation began earlier in the evening around 6 p.m., when officers were dispatched to a local residence in response to a report that Decker was missing. According to the report, she had not returned home from work as expected, raising concerns for her safety.

Through their inquiries, investigators learned that Decker worked as a delivery driver for DoorDash. She was last seen leaving for work around 11:30 a.m. that day. Police later discovered that her scheduled DoorDash delivery was assigned to the McDonald’s location where her vehicle was ultimately found. The delivery order had been canceled, and police believe she arrived at the restaurant shortly after 11:30 a.m.

Sgt. Mesiti noted that surveillance footage and witness information did not show anyone else approaching or entering her car after her arrival. Investigators say Decker was the only person seen getting in or out of the vehicle during that time.

Authorities are continuing their investigation, but at this stage, there are no indications of foul play. They are awaiting autopsy results, which will provide more clarity on the cause of Decker’s death.

As of now, the case remains open, and officials are working to piece together the timeline of events leading up to her death. Police have not stated whether any toxicology testing is being conducted, but such procedures are typically part of a standard autopsy in cases where there are no visible injuries or external signs of trauma.
