Jennifer Lynn Bradshaw Obituary, Death: Sheriff identifies pedestrian killed Sunday on Goleta’s Calle Real.

Jennifer Lynn Bradshaw Obituary, Death – The Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office has identified the woman who was killed in a traffic collision early Sunday morning on Calle Real in Goleta as 42-year-old Jennifer Lynn Bradshaw, a resident of Goleta.

The incident occurred around 12:55 a.m. on Sunday, June 29, when deputies responded to a report of a single-vehicle crash in the 7300 block of Calle Real, according to a press release issued Monday.

Authorities said the driver involved in the crash is a 68-year-old woman who had been traveling westbound on Calle Real. She later told investigators that she momentarily looked away from the road due to the glare of bright oncoming headlights. During that brief moment, her vehicle veered off to the right and left the roadway, eventually coming to a stop in a nearby field.

When deputies arrived at the scene, they discovered an adult female approximately 300 feet away from where the car had come to rest. Despite immediate life-saving efforts by emergency personnel, the woman, later identified as Jennifer Bradshaw, was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, early findings suggest the driver did not realize she had struck a pedestrian until deputies informed her on-site. There is no indication at this time that drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.

The case is still under active investigation as officials continue to gather more information to determine the exact circumstances that led to the fatal collision.
