According to MSP, the truck had been traveling eastbound on I-70 near the Maryland Route 27 interchange when someone in another vehicle opened fire. Along with the fatality, the driver of the truck was transported to a hospital for treatment. Another passenger received medical attention at the scene but declined further care. The remaining three passengers were uninjured during the shooting.
