The second victim, identified as 26-year-old Nicholas Lue from West Palm Beach, was also shot but was stabilized and is expected to recover, according to the police.

The investigation is still ongoing, but initial findings indicate that the altercation began when Banks and Lue initiated a confrontation with 24-year-old Tre D’Shon Huntly, also from Lakeland, near the front of the restaurant. Witnesses and evidence suggest that the argument quickly escalated, with Banks allegedly striking Huntly in the head with his fist. At that moment, a bystander, who was near the front door, intervened and opened the door to assist Huntly, police said.

As the situation intensified, Banks and Lue reportedly turned their aggression toward the bystander, with one of them allegedly pulling out a handgun and aiming it at him. While the release did not specify which of the two men, Banks or Lue, pointed the gun at the bystander, it was later revealed that Banks had been found with a handgun in his possession after the incident.

In response to this threat, Huntly drew his own weapon and fired several shots at both Banks and Lue, hitting them. The police report suggests that Huntly was likely acting in defense when he opened fire. Although the details are still being processed, the situation appears to have escalated quickly from a physical altercation into a deadly confrontation.

As of the latest information, no charges have been filed against Huntly.
