Juan Israel Ratzan Chicajua Obituary, Death – A 25-year-old man from Citrus Heights, identified as Juan Israel Ratzan Chicajua, died in a single-vehicle crash on Wednesday night in Fair Oaks, California.
According to the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office, the accident occurred around 7:30 p.m. on Sunset Avenue. Chicajua was driving a Honda Civic eastbound at what authorities described as an unsafe speed. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) reported that the vehicle veered off the road and crashed into a tree, resulting in fatal injuries.
Emergency responders pronounced Chicajua dead at the scene. Reports confirmed that he was the sole occupant of the vehicle.
At the time of the crash, it was raining, and the road was wet, according to CHP officials. Investigators have not yet determined whether alcohol or drugs played a role in the accident.
Following the crash, officials closed the road for about two hours while they conducted an investigation. CHP later issued a safety reminder on social media, urging drivers to slow down and drive cautiously, especially in wet conditions.
