A fuel tanker truck had come to a stop due to the crashes ahead. Unfortunately, an SUV traveling in the same direction was unable to slow down in time and collided with the stopped tanker.
Victims Identified
The driver of the SUV was identified as 39-year-old Taylor Binnington of North Haven, Connecticut. Tragically, he was pronounced dead at the scene. His wife and their 3-year-old child sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center for treatment.
Their 4-month-old son was critically injured in the crash and had to be airlifted to the same medical center. Despite emergency medical efforts, the infant later succumbed to his injuries.
