Trevor Harrison Obituary, Death, BRPD: Plumber killed in Fairfields Avenue shooting was unintended target.

Trevor Harrison Obituary, Death – A tragic shooting in Baton Rouge over the weekend claimed the life of 27-year-old Trevor Harrison, a plumber who was preparing to leave his trade for a new career. According to police, Harrison was not the intended target of the gunfire that struck him on Fairfields Avenue on Saturday night.

Harrison had been sitting in his truck, finishing up a plumbing job, when he was hit by a stray bullet. Authorities believe the shot was meant for someone else. His family is devastated by the senseless loss, especially since he was just weeks away from earning a degree from Southeastern University and starting a new chapter in his life.

His aunt, Mary Utz, shared that the job he was working on was an act of kindness. Harrison had agreed to help a friend’s father, who suffered from dementia and had received an overpriced estimate for plumbing work. Knowing he could do the work at a much lower cost, Harrison stepped in to assist.

“This was supposed to be his last job,” Utz said. “He finally figured out what he wanted to do.” The sudden and unexpected loss has left the family in shock, grappling with the reality of his untimely death.

Utz expressed frustration and concern over the violence that led to her nephew’s killing. “This is ridiculous. He was just driving through an intersection,” she said. “This could happen to anybody.” She hopes to address the issue of crime with city officials, emphasizing that the problem extends beyond just her family’s tragedy.

“This is bigger than just my nephew,” she said. “You want to be safe in your city.”

As of now, police have not identified a suspect or determined a motive behind the shooting. Investigators continue to search for leads, urging anyone with information to come forward.

Harrison’s death serves as a heartbreaking reminder of the dangers of random gun violence, leaving his loved ones mourning a life cut short just as he was on the verge of achieving his dreams.
