According to an initial investigation, a 16-year-old driver was traveling east on Fairground Road when they failed to stop at a red light. The teen’s vehicle then collided with a car driven by Kevin Profitt, 55, of Xenia. Upon impact, both vehicles left the roadway, struck multiple objects, and overturned.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene and attempted to assist the victims. However, Profitt succumbed to his injuries before he could be transported to a hospital. The 16-year-old driver and their juvenile passenger sustained serious injuries and were taken to a nearby medical facility for treatment.
