Adrenne S. Richardson Obituary, Death – A fatal shooting in Gloverville, Aiken County, resulted in the death of 46-year-old Adrenne S. Richardson and led to the arrest of a 20-year-old suspect, Zayvian Patrick Butler, authorities confirmed. According to the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office and Coroner Darryl Ables, the tragic incident occurred on Sunday night at a residence on Lawana Drive. Deputies responded to the scene at 11:24 p.m., where they found multiple bullet holes in the front door of the home.

Witnesses reported that Butler, who was allegedly armed and suicidal, had fired several rounds inside the residence. Crisis negotiators, SWAT, and additional first responders were dispatched to the scene to de-escalate the situation. After negotiations, Butler surrendered without further incident.

Tragically, Richardson was found deceased in a bedroom, lying on the floor with a fatal gunshot wound to her head. Coroner Ables pronounced her dead at 1:14 a.m. and stated that an autopsy is scheduled for Thursday in Newberry.

Butler was taken into custody and is being held at the Aiken County Detention Center. He faces charges of murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime. Authorities have yet to disclose a motive for the shooting.

The Aiken County Sheriff’s Office expressed its condolences to the victim’s family and reaffirmed its commitment to pursuing justice. This incident highlights concerns about violent crime affecting communities on both sides of the Savannah River. Authorities urge anyone with information related to the case to come forward as the investigation remains ongoing.
