The Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP) has confirmed the identity of a Blanchard man who tragically lost his life in a late-night crash on the Kilpatrick Turnpike in Canadian County. The incident occurred on Tuesday, just before 11:20 p.m., and involved a Ford F-250 pickup truck and a semi-trailer. According to the OHP collision report, the crash took place in the southbound lanes of the Kilpatrick Turnpike, near its intersection with Interstate 40. Despite efforts to assist, the driver of the pickup truck was pronounced dead at the scene.
The victim has been identified as 43-year-old Damion Barks, who was behind the wheel of the Ford F-250. Authorities confirmed that the driver of the semi-trailer, whose name has not been disclosed, did not suffer any injuries in the collision. While Barks tragically lost his life, the semi-trailer driver emerged from the crash unharmed.
