Ricky Langs Obituary, Death: Victim identified in suspected road rage death in Fort Worth.

Ricky Langs Obituary, Death – The man who was killed in a suspected road rage shooting has been identified as 62-year-old Ricky Langs. His daughter, Shelby Johnson, described her father as the “life of the party,” noting his ever-present smile and infectious personality. Johnson, who is heartbroken by the loss, remembered her father as a good man who left a lasting impression on everyone he met. She fondly recalled how his sense of humor and distinctive style made him unforgettable.

“He always dressed up, no matter where he went,” Johnson said, adding that his appearance was just as polished as his personality. She shared that her bond with her father was extremely close, and they spoke every day, often through video chats. He was a constant presence in her life, connecting with her children and building a strong relationship with his grandchildren.

On Monday evening, however, Johnson’s usual routine of receiving a text from her father to confirm he was home safely was interrupted. Instead, she received a devastating call from her cousin, Diana Langs, who could hardly speak through her grief. “She couldn’t even get it out,” Johnson recalled tearfully. “She’s just like, ‘He gone.’”

According to Fort Worth Police, they found Ricky Langs unconscious and bleeding in his car following the shooting. The police responded to a call around 7 p.m. Monday about a traffic hazard along the service road of Loop 820 North. Upon arrival, they discovered Langs in critical condition and immediately rushed him to the hospital, but he died shortly thereafter.

Though the police have not disclosed the identity of the gunman or the vehicle involved, they suspect that road rage may have been the motive behind the shooting. No further details have been released about the investigation or potential suspects at this time.

Johnson, in her grief, expressed her disbelief and anger over the senseless loss of her father. “How could you do something like that to an innocent person?” she questioned. “You took him away from my kids, his family. How could you just be OK with that and not come forward?” Johnson’s words reflect the deep pain and unanswered questions surrounding the tragic event.

Fort Worth police are urging anyone with information about the shooting to come forward and assist in the investigation. The family is left with questions, seeking justice for a man who was loved by many and taken from them far too soon.
