Shawn Wisby Obituary, Death News – Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers have released the identity of the driver who was killed in a tragic crash involving a school bus in Brown County on Sunday. The incident also left two students hospitalized with minor injuries. According to authorities, the crash occurred at 7:38 p.m. on Sunday at the intersection of SR-32 and Sardinia Mowrystown Road in Washington Township.

The driver of the Mazda SUV, identified as 47-year-old Shawn Wisby of Georgetown, was traveling eastbound on SR-32 when the accident occurred. For reasons that are still under investigation, Wisby’s vehicle veered off the left side of the road, crossed the median, and collided head-on with an International school bus heading west. The bus was driven by 46-year-old Julie Ann Williamson from Mt. Orab.

Tragically, Wisby was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the collision. Despite the best efforts of first responders, Wisby was pronounced dead at the scene. The Ohio State Highway Patrol confirmed that the two students who were on the school bus sustained only minor injuries. The students were taken to Mt. Orab Mercy Hospital for evaluation and were treated for their injuries, which were not life-threatening.

The investigation into the cause of the crash remains ongoing, and authorities are examining the circumstances surrounding Wisby’s failure to maintain control of the vehicle. The accident is still under active investigation as troopers seek further details regarding what led to the crash.
