Ramazan Ali Rahmani Obituary, Death – A tragic collision in Dakota County on Wednesday afternoon resulted in the death of one driver and serious injuries to a passenger. The incident occurred at an intersection in Marshan Township, southeast of Hastings.
Ramazan Ali Rahmani, 38, from Burnsville, was driving a Hyundai Elantra eastbound on 190th Street when his vehicle collided with a Chevy Silverado traveling south on Highway 61. The crash took place shortly after 4:15 p.m., according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
Rahmani, who was wearing a seat belt at the time, was pronounced dead following the crash. His passenger, 29-year-old Mahdi Rahmani, suffered serious injuries and was transported to Regions Hospital in St. Paul for medical care.
The driver of the Silverado, identified as 42-year-old Theresa Fredin from Cannon Falls, Minnesota, sustained non-critical injuries and was also taken to Regions Hospital for treatment.
The State Patrol’s preliminary investigation indicated that alcohol was not a contributing factor, and the roads were dry when the crash occurred. The incident remains under investigation.
