Samantha Marshall Obituary, Death – On Tuesday night, a tragic head-on collision in Orange City claimed the life of a woman who was a passenger in a vehicle traveling in the wrong direction. The incident occurred at approximately 9:05 p.m. in the 1600 block of Veterans Memorial Parkway.

According to a preliminary investigation by Orange City police, the accident involved a 2010 Mercedes SUV that was heading north in the southbound lanes of Veterans Memorial Parkway. This SUV collided head-on with a 2018 Kia van.

The driver of the Mercedes was identified as 44-year-old Jairam Singh of Deltona, and the passenger was 45-year-old Samantha Marshall, also from Deltona. Singh was transported to HCA Florida Lake Monroe Hospital, where he was reported to be in stable condition. Unfortunately, Marshall was taken to Advent Health Fish Memorial Hospital in Orange City, where she was pronounced dead shortly after arriving.

The occupants of the Kia van, a 38-year-old woman and a 74-year-old man, both from Deltona, sustained serious injuries. They were transported to local hospitals and were reported to be in stable condition.

Authorities have not yet determined why the Mercedes SUV was traveling in the wrong direction. The investigation into the crash is ongoing as police work to uncover more details surrounding the circumstances of the incident.
