The Greenville County Coroner’s Office identified the woman as 24-year-old Marie Jabbie. The crash occurred around 4:52 a.m. on Interstate 385 north, near mile marker 33.
Jabbie was driving when her vehicle veered off the road for reasons yet to be determined. Emergency services promptly transported her to the hospital, where medical staff performed an emergency cesarean section in an attempt to save her unborn child. Tragically, both Jabbie and the baby did not survive.
The Greenville County Coroner’s Office, alongside the Mauldin Police, is conducting an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
