Alexis Vega Obituary, Death – A tragic incident occurred on the West Virginia Turnpike on Sunday night, resulting in the death of 25-year-old Alexis Vega from Cleveland, Ohio. The accident took place near mile marker 87 on Interstate 77 at approximately 7:30 p.m.

Vega was driving southbound when she lost control of her vehicle, causing it to collide with the concrete median barrier. The impact left her car positioned sideways, obstructing both southbound lanes.

After the collision, Vega exited her vehicle.

A second vehicle stopped to assist her in removing the car from the roadway. At that moment, a tractor-trailer traveling southbound struck both Vega and the assisting vehicle. Emergency responders transported Vega to a nearby hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries.

The crash led to the closure of both northbound and southbound lanes of I-77 near the accident site. The West Virginia State Police are conducting an investigation into the incident.

This tragic event underscores the dangers present on highways and the importance of exercising caution, especially when exiting vehicles on active roadways.
