The crash unfolded when a car, driven by 22-year-old Tymir Price from Danville, Virginia, failed to stop in time and struck the stopped truck. The impact of the collision caused the truck to push into an SUV, which in turn was forced into another car. As a result, Price was critically injured and was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
Two other drivers involved in the crash sustained minor injuries. They received treatment at the scene and were later released to recover at home.
