Richard Fowler Obituary, Death – An 81-year-old man from Eutawville has died following a single-vehicle crash in Aiken County on Sunday night, as confirmed by the Aiken County Coroner’s Office.
The incident occurred around 9:46 p.m. on Sunday, on South Dixie Road near Veterans Road. According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the victim, identified as Richard Fowler, was driving westbound when his vehicle left the roadway. He struck a ditch and a tree, causing the crash.
Fowler was transported to Prisma Health Richland Hospital in Columbia, South Carolina. Unfortunately, he was pronounced dead at the hospital at 9:45 a.m. on Monday morning, nearly 12 hours after the crash took place.
The Aiken County Coroner’s Office, alongside the South Carolina Highway Patrol, is currently investigating the incident to determine the exact cause of the crash. Authorities are working to gather further details to understand the circumstances surrounding the accident.
