James Navarro Obituary, Death – A tragic crash on the F.E. Everett Turnpike near Exit 12 on Sunday afternoon claimed the life of a Massachusetts woman and injured several others. The incident occurred at approximately 12:55 p.m. when a white Dodge Ram pickup crossed the median from the southbound lanes into the northbound lanes, colliding with two other vehicles, a brown GMC Sierra pickup and a white Nissan Versa sedan.
Authorities identified the deceased as 63-year-old Wanda Navarro of Brimfield, Massachusetts. Navarro was a passenger in the Dodge Ram and was transported to Elliot Hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries. The driver of the Dodge Ram, 69-year-old James Navarro, also of Brimfield, sustained minor injuries and was taken to the hospital for evaluation.
A passenger in the GMC Sierra suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries and was also hospitalized. Details about the condition of the driver or passengers in the Nissan Versa were not disclosed.
State police are still investigating why the Dodge Ram crossed the median. The reasons behind the crash remain unclear, and no charges have been filed.
